The Membership Badge is awarded to those who have donated to the site. Because Artalyst has no flashy annoying banner ads, popups, or popunders, we rely on individuals who enjoy the site to make small contributions. These donations help pay for server costs, contest prizes, and promoting the site on the internet.

You are never required to become a Member on Artalyst to participate in the community, submit images, get into the Featured Gallery, or sell your prints. However, those who choose to become a Member enjoy some fun perks:

• Members get a 5% discount on products in the store.
• Members can enter sponsored contests with prizes.
• Members earn Points which can get them more perks and Badges.
• Members can earn badges, like this one, that grands special perks on the site.
• Members can edit and customize their portfolio anyway they like.
• Members can create and maintain their own site blog.
• Members can customize their appearance anywhere they make comments on the site. The more Points and Badges earned, the more customizations.

Because Members help to keep this site running, we try to give back to them any way that we can.
