Welcome to the first of a variety of planned contests at Artalyst.


This contest seeks to reward the most dedicated of Artalyst members. There will be a total of 5 winners so many people will have a chance to win. The contest starts now, and will end on July 15th 2006 at 11:00pm EST (GMT-5). The winners will get to pick their prize from a selection of items in the order of the rank in the contest.




Contest Goal:
The goal of this contest is to participate and accumulate more userpoints than anyone else. Only subscribing members are capable of entering this contest. All subscribing members are automatically entered into this contest without any acknowledgement required. The top 5 members who acquire the most userpoints within the contest period (not all time) will win their choice of the prize in order of the most points earned.


Contest Period:
The contest starts now, and will end on July 15th 2006 at 11:00pm EST (GMT-5).


Winners:
The will be a maximum of 5 winners in this contest. The top 5 userpoints earners at the end of the contest are considered the winners. These 5 will be the only ones considered to be contest winners. If someone drops out or becomes unavailable after the contest, there will not be others chosen to replace them.

Claiming Prizes:
At the end of the contest, the 5 winners will be posted on the site and emailed. Each person has a maximum of 7 days to indicate the prizes they wish to claim. The first place winner will get first choice, the second place winner will get second choice and so on.


Receiving Prizes:
Artalyst will ship the prizes to the winners at no cost to the winner. Depending on international shipping costs, Artalyst retains the right to require shipping cost to be paid by the winner if they wish to receive the prize. Although we don't expect this to be a problem.


Receiving Userpoints:
Only subscribing members can acquire userpoints, and thus be qualified to participate in the contest. Only those members subscribing at the start of the contest are qualified to participate in the contest. Userpoints are earned by commenting on the site, posting images, and voting. Userpoints can be viewed in the top left menu on the page. You can compare your points to those already earned in the following chart.

This chart shows starting points for each qualified user. Remember, the contest rewards those who earn the most points during the contest period. So everyone has a fair chance.




Contest Rules:
1) Contest winners must wait at least 3 weeks for delivery.

2) Prizes destined for international deliver MAY require shipping costs to be paid by the winner before shipment.

3) Artalyst is not responsible if a user is unable to get through to the site for a contest due to equipment malfunction, internet connection, server availability or otherwise. Anyone who wins and accepts a prize for a contest automatically grants Artalyst permission to record and use their name, character, photograph and/or likeness in connection with promotion of this or other contests and must waive any claim of royalty, rights or remuneration for such use.

4) USA winners of prizes valued at $600 or more must complete a federal income tax return form when claiming their prize.
