I'm seeing a lot of new members posting artwork! So to those new ones, welcome! And I'm really enjoying the variety of work. So stop in and tell us a little about yourself, your art, and what motivates you.

Many here already know me, but since I brought it up, I have to contribute. I'm an IT professional and have been for the past 14 years. Photography, while a hobby, is something I've taken pretty seriously. My preference is landscape & macro work, but I seem to be pretty good at still life shots. Of course I'll shoot just about anything. What drives me is a love for the outdoors. I'm an avid hiker and tourist, so photography falls in there nicely. Every time I'm shooting, I ask myself what is it about this that could be visually striking? My primary inspirations are Freeman Patterson, Galen Rowell, and William Neill. What I really lack is time. If all I had to do in life is make photos...
