Image size and thumbnail size requirements to upload to the Gallery

****Temporary Instructions****

To submit an image to the Artalyst Gallery, you must first make two (2) additional image thumbnails from your original artwork image. These thumbnails are used in various ways throughout the site, galleries, and your page. They are icons that represent links to your original image on its own page. A total of three (3) images are required before submitting your image.

The three images are:

Thumbnail - The thumbnail does not have to be a small version of your entire image. The thumbnail can be a small cropped area of interest from the original image. Like a "teaser". Look around in the gallery to see examples of this. This image must be exactly 80 pixels wide by 80 pixels high and less than 25 kilobytes in filesize.

Preview - This is another thumbnail, just larger. The preview does not have to be a small version of your entire image. The preview can be a small cropped area of interest from the original image. Like a "teaser". Look around in the gallery to see examples of this. This image must be exactly 260 pixels wide by 170 pixels high and less than 70 kilobytes in filesize.

Fullsize - The fullsize upload box is where you will enter your original, non-cropped, image for the Gallery. This image must be larger than 300 pixels in each dimension, but can be as large as you like. The image must be less then 1 megabyte in filesize. The image will be sized down on the page where it is displayed, but the viewer can click on it to see the original size in a pop-up window.
