Selling Art at Third-Party Locations
- Help Topic:
Where will my Art be sold?
Generally, your Artwork will be sold here on Artalyst initially. However, to get your Artwork more exposure to the art loving community, Artalyst will sell your Artwork at other third-party locations if certain requirements are met. You can expect to have your Artwork sold at places like Amazon.com, Yahoo.com, local Galleries and Art Shows.
What are the requirements to have my Art sold at other places?
When you submit any image to Artalyst, it is displayed in the General Gallery. From there, Artalyst judges can nominate your image to be included into the Featured Gallery. While it isn't necessary that you get your image Featured, you need to have at least 3 nominations to the Featured Gallery before your Artwork is included at third-party locations. Additional information on Judges and Nominations here.
Additionally, there are basic requirements to submit Art for sale on Artalyst: Your image must be a minimum of 1500 pixels in either dimension for submission to sell prints. This is for the small print sizes 8x10 inches to 12x18 inches. The larger your submitted image, the large print sizes will be available. You must be the sole copyright owner of the image or images included in your artwork. See the Terms of Use for more information. See Also Selling Prints on Artalyst
How do I know where my Art is being sold?
In the "For Sale" tab on your "My Images" page, all of your images sold are shown and the locations where they are being sold. Additional statistics are included on this page.
What are the benefits to me?
You can of course sell your Artwork anywhere you like. When you let Artalyst handle the sale for you, there is zero costs and zero risks to you. Many Galleries require memberships, fees, and commissions on sales. Amazon and other retail sites require monthly fees, business licenses, federal tax ID and commissions on sales.
Upload your images to Artalyst, and we will do all the printing, preparation, presentation, collection of money, shipping and pay all the nasty fees. All you do is tell us how much you want to receive when a print is sold, and spend your free time making more Art.
What should I do?
Upload the best, and highest resolution Artwork that you have to Artalyst. Also, be sure to fill out as much personal information on your account/edit page. This information will be presented with your Artwork at the various venues.
