Selling Prints on Artalyst
- Help Topic:
How do I submit an image to sell prints?
Go to the Image Upload page and select the second upload option. Here you will set the Title, Description, Image thumbnails and fullsize. You will also set your prices for each size prints.
What are the image requirements?
Your image must be a minimum of 1500 pixels in either dimension for submission to sell prints. This is for the small print sizes 8x10 inches to 12x18 inches. The larger your submitted image, the large print sizes will be available. You must be the sole copyright owner of the image or images included in your artwork. See the Terms of Use for more information.
How is my art protected on Artalyst?
The fullsize view of the image is available for customers to see the high resolution quality of the potential print they may buy. However, the image is watermarked so that your image isn't abused without your permission.
What prices should I set for my images?
We recommend starting out $2 to $10 per small prints, $7 to $20 per medium prints, and $10 to $25 for larger prints. If your image gets really popular, you can increase the price at any time. Remember that the costs of the print, matting and frame will be added to this price when buying.
How much do I receive when a print is sold?
The price that you set when you upload your image is the amount of money that you will receive when a print is sold. Artalyst only adds the cost of the print to your price for the final sale price shown to the customer.
How do I get paid?
When a print of your art is sold, Artalyst will send you your asking price via Paypal. You are not required to have an existing Paypal account when your image is sold. We will send you a message asking for an email address in which to send the Paypal money. Paypal will contact you via that email address with instructions to receive your money. From Paypal, you can have the money deposited into your bank account, have a check sent to you, get a Paypal debit card to use like a bank card, or keep it in Paypal for spending on other websites. NOTE: Paypal does charge a small percentage fee for this service, but it's generally only a few cents.
What monetary denominations are used for transactions?
All references to costs, prices, money, or fees are in US Dollars $.
