I'm a Rolling Stones guy myself! Never miss any of their farewell concerts! ;-) I'm just saying... lower angle, more dramatic lighting, some action on his part like bent over at the knees... might have better said what it was about. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice picture. Just left me kind of wondering what it was you were trying to convey.
I do know what you mean & some more emotion on his part would have helped.
My son has a hard time being serious & this was killing him.
His buddy on the other hand just went for it & rocked out.
I have a few others from this session, maybe i will post a couple.
I have to say that I like this one better than the other two you came up with. The background is great, fantastic even, looks like a painting actually. The vignetting is nice and the lighting on your son is nice too. If it had the emotion fd3rd was talking about, this image would truly be epic.
Well me being his Mother, I do see emotion but that is because I know him. I realize it doesn't come through to others. When I look at this I see him "in" the song. He is concentrating & "into" every note played.
Thanks for all your opinions & input guys & girls. This is one of the many reasons I love Artalyst.

Cheers!

For just $3 a month. You know you can pay more than that for a cup of coffee?!?!

Nice shot Mac but it's rock and roll... needs a little more emotion!
He was playing a ballad;)
Oops! The shirt and electric guitar said rock and roll! I'm conflicted! ;-)
It was a Power Ballad ;) Like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BBlWxkwJtU
