Mac, you are doing wonderful things with selective desaturation! Those blue eyes are so haunting! The soft focus on the second eye bothers me a little. I think if both eyes were in crisp focus it might pop more. And the tuft of hair above her eyes... I like it but I'm wondering if it were more than a few strands of hair. Still, this is great work!
Very nice Mac, you are deffinitely getting to grips with the soft feel to an image. I am with fd3rd on wishing both eyes were sharp, but that blue does pop. I am not sold on the crop, I want to take it into PS and try differnt crops, I think it is the symmetry side of me that wants to have the eyes centre and not of to the right a bit. :)
The eye was a niggle for me too. =]
Re: her hair...yes there is a lot more to her blonde curly locks. Her hair was damp tho from playing in a sprinkler, as it started to dry the curls fell forward. I love the one curl on her forehead, it reminds me of the poem
"There once was a girl, who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead
When she was good, she was very very good
When she was bad, she was horrid"
LoL
I don't quite understand what you don't like about the crop Kev...do you feel it was too tight of a crop?
Mac.....I think I may have gone with a tighter crop to really push those eyes to the viewer. I can't put my finger on it, as soon as I saw it, I felt the crop was off balance, I do think it has to do with the position of the eyes. It is one of those image where you could have lots of good outcomes with different crops!

I still like what you have done with it.
I see what you are saying. I'll play with it a bit. Thx for your advice.
This reminds me of a marble statue of a child.
I prefer this one. The tighter crop loses the foggy vignette, and that really sets the mood of this. Very nice!
