I would like an extensive critique of my image please.
something new for me..these objects were place on my scanner..what you might find in an American kid's pocket circa 1950..need a new "category" for these type images..
Scanner art... great idea and nice job with the theme. Roy Campanella, there's a blast from the past! He lived in the town I grew up in. I went to elementary school with one of his kids, though I don't even remember his name. I do remember vividly the day he had his accident though. That was big news in a small town. Of course we were all Dodgers fans and I also remember the outrage when they left Brooklyn. Dem Bums! I think I also had that Matchbook truck. And what kid at the time didn't have a Duncan yo yo and a pocket knife? Guess a slinky and a hula hoop wouldn't fit in the scanner!
I know of people who use scanners for large format digital photography. I think they build a box with a focusing plane? set right on the scanner bed, then use a good lens to focus on it. You can get ridiculously large images like that. Search on the internet, I think there are some DIY projects out there.
No ads here, because the site is supported by members. They make donations to keep the site running, and we give them as many nifty perks as we can think of.
For just $3 a month. You know you can pay more than that for a cup of coffee?!?!
