I would look at cropping to top area away, there is a lot of dead space there. I would also look at cropping the right area upto the ear, that way you are centering the image to give balance.
I would try and brighten the whole image a bit, also brighten his eyes a bit more.
Cute picture. Have to agree with Kev though. You could really make this even better with a bit of work. I think it's kind of a shame that you clipped his ear on the left. Need a bit of separation there from the edge of the photo. Something to remember for next time.
I'm a dog person so you've got me! I think the lighting is a little flat. It could probably be fixed with a little brightness/contrast adjustment. The biggest issue I see is that the very shallow dof falls just in front, by his paws. So from there back is slightly out of focus. I'd love to see the fur on his face in crisp focus. That will likely require a re-shoot however.

For just $3 a month. You know you can pay more than that for a cup of coffee?!?!

Just looking at it I didn't notice the cropped ear. I see what you guys mean. (laughing) BUT look at that face!!

Wow, thanks for the advice. I can't reshoot, but I will edit a little and post again.
How can you resist him? He gets whatever he wants with that look!!!
I agree about the cropping, right about where the wrinkle in the fabric is and to the right side. OTOH, I do like the off center look of this.
Great subject. I do agree with others that it needs some sharpening.
