1st of all I LOVE the B&W! It does look like a torso and next to it looks like fingers (or legs) reaching up! Where was this taken?

Really nice. I think the B&W really helps this shot so that you focus on the shapes and forms more than your eye being drawn around by colors. These look like they could be in the Sycamore family of trees, any idea?
Thanks! They where taken outside my work and I just put the camera against one of the trees and shot straight up the side. It makes an interesting perspective on lots of things. Don't know what kind of trees they are but the bark always strips off.
Found out these are Crape Myrtles
