I love the colours & the look on Otis's face. I think a different crop would make this great image just a smidge better. One where Otis isn't directly in the centre. Maybe crop the right side & some off the top?
Like the contasting colors and deep shadows. I agree the composition could be better.

i think he's framed well, the focus is right on him and the green is great against the orange of Otis.
