this is one of the best photos on this site, very similar to an andrew wyeth painting. very textural. kt

Well Kev, I wish I could give out a good critique, but at the moment, all I know how to do is say what I like or dislike. I like this photo, I think it is a sound 10 all the way. I love the clouds reflecting in the water, the bumpy waves, the color and textures in the grass, and that rickety old boat in all its glory. I think it is perfectly exposed and the compostition IMO is perfect for this picture as well. What I really like about the boat is that tiny splash of red on the front, and all of the different textures in it. I personally cannot see one thing that I would change in this photo. So I think its wonderful!

Did you fool the others Kev? It doesn't really look like water to me,it looks like sky with some sort of wave filter added to it. Great image by the way!

neat, when I first looked at it. it looked like the water was originally in the background and you had added the cloudy sky overlay. but as I look at it closer. it's the sky that was originally there and the water pattern was overlaid. very tricky

Thanks for the comments guys :) Well, I submitted it in the photoart section, so that should have been the clue to the image ;) Zee got it right,the boat, grass and sky are all part of the original image. I took a section of sea from one of my lighthouse images and overlayed the sky, I just faded the waves untill I got a good blend I liked.

Well ya did a great job! I didn't even see that it was photo-art - but then again it IS ME we are talking about here LOL!

This is very cool. I wasn't sure which was original at first either, the sky or the water.
