Well today I found out that I got my first official sales order off my smugmug gallery. It was really incredibly cool to look and see that I had a sale of prints that was over $200 from a portrait shoot that I did recently. For me this is a first. The shoot was the most profitable for me to date. Not that profits are my number one concern when doing portraits, I love doing portraits. It's so fun on many differnent levels. You get to meet new people and get to know them a bit, you get to make them laugh (hopefully), you can hopefully get them to forget the camera or get comfortable enough to be themselves. I also get huge satisfaction from knowing and hearing that they liked or loved what I have created for them. I really want to get some studio equipment and set up a studio so I can do more of this style of portrait. It's really fun to do, i have to work on perfecting it. I'm so excited right now that I can't even barely write. Plus on top of this, last night a wedding client is asking about multiple copies of the wedding album I'm producing for them. That could be huge for me. Things are really looking up at the moment. Design of LOS photography (Line Of Sight photography), company image and web site is in the works and looking really good too.
