there will be later, but for now, no there isn't. we really need to populate our galleries with images so there is no restriction.
later there will be a restriction, but not because of bandwidth or storage space. many artists bulk upload all of their images and get a lot of exposure for that day, then they have nothing left to keep their exposure to the main page, get jaded from the lack of replies and leave.
ideally, you would want to release images at a slower pace, so that you always have something going on.
