well, thinking about it. I've been looking at some 3d artists' work and am thinking about giving it a try. hoping to combine it with 2D art to make some really interesting stuff. I'm good at sculpting, maybe that will help. anyone else here do 3D work? can you encourage me, or should I back away before getting too deep? :)

Hey Zeedaam, that sounds good. I have done a little work with Bryce, but the puter crashes and I get tired of putting programs back in almost every other day right now. I wouldn't say, Back away. But I will say watch out for your brain, it could melt. Xenodream is another GOOD program, I haven't used it but one of my blog friends got it for Christmas, He is doing pretty good with it. I think it is somewhere around $89.00 from Xenodream download. I have seen some of your fractal work, and I think you would have no problem with the concept of 3D. Just getting lost in the work. Good Luck, Hope to see you go with it.

as an engineer by trade, I work with CAD software all day long at work. the progression to 3D should be a logical next step hopefully. I'm just afraid trying to make anything nice would become a time sink. and I don't need that. I'm hoping to add some nice architectural elements to my 2D images. a simple shaded wire frame would be enough, to give me a guide so I don't spend alot of time drawing the perspective correctly before painting.

Good luck Zee... it's like any type of art. A time sink.More important is what you get out of it.

I know that Bryce has wire framing, for three axis, and infinite camera angles. I don't know about Xenodream, but I would imagine so, because you really need that for 3D.
