Ok, you may be asking yourself, "What new site? I thought this was the new site all along". Well, sorry for the confusion, but this site was only a bridge to the new site. This was a test site that I was using to test the new features being implemented so that I could work out all the bugs before the site went live. For example image thumbnails, whoa was that a funny bug. But the old site finally just broke in half under the strain and I had to open this one up before it was ready.

Well it's ready now. Yes, there are more features that will be added as we grow, I'm working on the storyline now which will bring the site out of _prologue and into _episode 01. But there are certain features of the new site that require a different way of organizing the data. For example, the max thumbnail size is now 80x80 and you can create your own custom thumbnail if you like. The new voting system allows you to score on 6 different categories now and not just one. Voting will not show until you have voted. All this cannot be installed retroactively into our old images and comments from the previous site, so we will have to start afresh. But we have not lost our 3000+ images from the past, I will put up an archive section where our artwork can be viewed, but not voted or commented on. You will be able to upload any of your previous images into the new system whenever you like once the new site goes live.

I'm personally going to upload some of my work to get it started and hope that others will follow. You will be able to use your old username and password from the previous site. I will also send out an email announcing our return to the 800+ users we currently have. Hopefully that will drum up some business. I am taking a few days off from work so that I can handle any bugs or problems that may come up. The "work-safe" skin (the one you currently see) will be the default while I create one of many newer artsy skins. Soon, I'll post our old tutorials in a new section just for tutorials. I am also starting work on some FAQs since alot of this stuff in new and improved.
