UPDATE: problems fixed
Since the site came back up, I've noticed that you cannot see the random image in the side panel using Microsoft Internet Explorer. You also cannot see the image on the image page. Everything works perfectly fine with Firefox, Netscape, and other browsers though. I'm working on fixing this problem right now.

Hmm... That's an interesting way to promote Firefox. :P

Glad things are backup. I know how unexpeceted downtimes are to deal with. We had a major billing system drop for 20hrs last week. It was not pretty.

I was wondering why I couldn't see images... Can't upload in IE either BTW.
In Firefox... I also can't see my own images... and when I try and fix it and upload I get this error.

* Unable to create thumbnail image
* The directory files/userimages/user107 is not writable.
* The directory files/userimages/user107 is not writable.
* File copy failed: no directory configured, or it could not be accessed.

Your image was showing up fine in firefox before you tried uploading another image. Steve Sperry tried uploading an image too and it didn't work. I don't know if he used IE or firefox.

Thanks for the info, it helps in finding the problem.

I tried in both IE and firefox... couldn't see the one picture of my son "The Dragon" in either and tried to upload it again in both. Got the same error in both browsers...

Thanks! Because I didn't write most of this code myself, it really makes it a chore. But most of the time when something goes wrong, it's not the code, but something the webserver did, like upgrade their software and forget to adjust the settings like they were before and etc. In this case they upgraded the software and I had to make some changes so that our site would function with it. So the past few days have cause me to tear out a third of my hair LOL :) But all in the name of progress right ?
