I used the following filters: lighting effects texturizer - sandstone brush strokes - ink outlines desaturated and erased where I wanted to maintain some faint coloration as usual I do my filters on a duplicate layer then drop the opacity and/or erase much of the filter effects.

I like the writing in the background - very cool!
It's jibberish - I'm not familiar with oriental characters. I think they fit in with the overall feel.
