So to date from the Rugby tournament last month I got a picture in the Glenwood Springs Post-Independant newspaper and I'll have around 6 pictures in the next issue of Rugby Magazine. Not a big money making event for me for sure but some good exposure and two publishings.

I'm also still waiting on the little league parents to order prints. I know that two of the kids have parents that said they would definitely buy some.

Really need these things to be profitable to continue doing them. Right now making $75-150 for an event may be icing on the cake but it sure doesn't make it worth going out and spending all this time and effort and the expense of equipment... No wonder people like doing weddings... you can actually make some money and make it worth your effort.

But you have to start somewhere, you are enjoying the work, some of your expenses are being met, you are getting publicity and maybe developing a niche, aim high.

I'm just starting to work with Gloucestershire rugy club folk, a pretty good club over here, just done some quick portraits of two of their under 21 England players, all for free, costing me an arm and a leg with the studio and all, but will try to put the pieces together and make money one day.

Looks like we will need to compare notes, guess there is little chance of us becoming competitors!

Good luck with it Los, enjoy everything, you know you are a good tog, just make sure everyone else does!

Thanks Dex, We may well be competitors if we both go to the Rugby World Cup in 2007... LOL France is a heck of a lot closer for you than it is for me though.

Got the July issue of Rugby Magazine in the mail last night. I ended up with 9 pictures in total. Kinda cool to see your name in print.

Good news Los, very good!

We will meet at the world cup yet!

I have my first paid shoot with Gloucestershire and England players next Thurs, so looking forward to that! Two players are already confirmed, the third (a really big UK star, mixes with royalty kind of big) yet to confirm, but fingers crossed!
