Why do I take pictures ? Is there any truth to the statement - A picture is worth a thousand words

Why do you take pictures? Sometimes I think photos are indescribable and worth more than 1000 words. Sometimes pictures do a terrible job and aren't worth anything. Just depends doesn't it?

Good question. I don't really know why I take pictures. Maybe because I cannot draw what I see, and want to capture what I do. And yes there is always a story behind even the simplest of photos. Maybe not a thousand words, unless you really like analyzing stuff.

I take pictures mainly to show others, things they may never see. They are things I never thought I would ever see. I don't put them in here, because I am not a Photographer.
