A lot of folks use Artalyst as a sounding board for photos they have, or may intend to, enter in contests on other sites. In that vein, I try to offer up my thoughts on photos in a positive and constructive manor without appearing too critical. I mention this because sometime back there was a Member who offered up some pretty harsh critiques. I always felt that it drove many, and I include myself, away. So please tell me if I step on any toes, that's not my intent. We all love to hear applause for our work but it's positive feedback that helps us grow. I also welcome and look forward to feedback on any photos I may post.

I love comments & feedback. Constructive critisism is muchly appreciated. Some people are better than others at offering that. You have never stepped on my toes though. So comment away!

Some people don't know how to give a critique or give a constructive comment without being harsh. It may or may not be their fault that they can't get what they are talking about without it sounding mean. I think that a little clarification on feedback may be necessary. I think That instead of saying positive feedback we should say constructive feedback, for how we truly grow is by learning not only what we have done right but what we have done wrong.
