Is there anyone out there, who like me does wedding photography?

I did it once, for free, for a friend. it was fun, and on a beach!! not a commercial 150 acre beach, but a small island tropical beach.

the best part about it was being able to "officially" take pictures of anyone candid or posed. very liberating. anywhere else I feel intrusive.

Like zeedaam, I did one for my sister-in-law. It was fun, but it was a lot of work. I learned a lot, esspecially that I don't want to be a wedding photographer! But I also came to an appreciation of what you go through.

I've done wedding photography once as well, for my sister-in-law too. It was a lot of work and I have major respect for those who do it as a profession. I had more fun taking the portraits before the ceremony rather than those during the actual event.

One thing I really can't imagine is doing a wedding for free. Never have, never will. Well maybe I'll do my son's if he gets married but I doubt it.Doing a wedding is so much work there is just no way I would devote that much time without some serious compensation.

I did one once and it was alot of work. Always moving around to get the best pictures etc. The thing that annoyed me the most is the people have no consideration, alot of them kept getting in my way. Excuse me but I am the one taking the pictures for you people and you are just making it harder. I didn't charge any thing since it was a friend of a friend....I should have charged though! In my family I always ended up being the photographer. Luckily, they found another puppet though, haha. I would do it again, but this time I would charge and wear a sign that says "Hey you, outta the way!" The people were great that posed etc....but all of those by-standers...geesh!
