Search does not work

I previously whined about not being able to see all my images without remembering which section I posted what in. So I thought I could search on my screen name. Doesn't work. Says "alan" cannot be found. Says "kay" cannot be found. Same for "alan kay". Same if you search for member of on the words.

don't put anything in the search box at the top. that way it will search for everything. then go down the list and click "images" and at the bottom search by user and put "alan kay" in. that should give you the search results you want.

uh oh. it looks like the search doesn't like the space in the name. sorry about that alan. I'm going to have to work on that too :(

Strange. It should at least find 'alan'. Or do you have to have an exact match?

yeah, when searching "by user" it knows that there is no user "alan" unfortunately.

It's a pretty powerful search but I think it's almost too smart. I find a lot of things I search for I can't find. But I know they are there.
